New Tanzania Coordinator Ashley Frechette

In each country where GTL works, a coordinator anchors our efforts. The coordinator talks to schools, identifies potentially eligible candidates, and handles the scholarship process. This year, Ashley Frechette took over as Tanzania coordinator from Zainab Sige. Originally from Massachusetts, Ashley now lives in Karatu, Tanzania. She has been deeply involved in Tanzanian education issues for many years through the Friends of Tanzanian Schools. Ashley runs an academic enrichment club for girls attending Gyateghi Primary School, and has opened two art galleries showcasing Tanzanian art (www.fineartzgallery.com).
