Roger Whiting, Founder of Growth Through Learning, passed away this morning.

We are very sad to report that Roger Whiting, GTL's founder, passed away this morning in Worcester.

From his first visit to Africa to his last illness, Roger worked tirelessly to change the lives of more than 750 girls in East Africa. He inspired us all to reach out beyond ourselves and bring hope to the poor and vulnerable. He was a man of great compassion, and we will miss him very much.

This Wednesday, May 5, there will be calling hours from 5-7pm, then a celebration of life service from 7-8pm, at Miles Funeral Home in Roger's home town of Holden. Friends and family will speak about what Roger meant to them.
